Preview: Lady Torment

COMING SOON!!!!!!!!! THIS IS JUST THE IDEA SET-UP FOR " LADY TORMENT "

Lady Torment was an idea that I got while watching a silly little B movie on Chiller. It seemed really cool to do the make-up on those shows because they're always so over-dramatic that they couldn't be realistic. I'm not really sure that I want to learn the realistic stuff just yet, because its less fun as of now. It's more of a challenge. I'm not ready for a challenge, ha ha. Okay, so I went to bed after watching this film, (unfortunately I cannot remember for the life of me the name of the film that I watched, or I would mention it) and I had the craziest dream about a thin woman with an overly large head, it wasn't like Tim Burton's Queen of Hearts large, but it looked as if she hadn't eaten in months and her head just seemed a bit big. Her hair was long and stringy but pulled back into a pony tale. She had while face, and there were veins crawling all over her body. The area that she was in was what I always pictured Limbo to look like. So I figure she's in constant Torment, knowing she's been stuck in Limbo due to all of the horrible things she does to her self. Well, suddenly, she begins to scream. For almost an hour in this place she screams, and it gets louder and louder. In the dream I felt my ears begin to ring so badly, I covered them with my hands. I watched her grip at her ears just as I did and she screamed louder, slowly the corners of her lips began to tear slowly and pull further from her skull. Her tissue was visible, and flaps of skin hung from the places where they used to connect, and then teeth, and muscle were visible as she screamed. Her eyes bulged, and she leaned back with every scream.

I call her 'Lady Torment' because she is dressed in a beautiful sun gown, and is obviously tormented because of the things she's done to herself in her life, and the reason she's stuck in Limbo has to be because she starved herself, and the large one inch thick scars running down both arms.

I will sketch up some photo's and add them to this post later.

Bruised, and Broken

A while ago, nearing the beginning of 2009, I got bored with some bluish, purple, and green eye-shadow colors and decided to make a bruise. I was in the mood for an interesting default picture, I suppose. So, i got some Vaseline and spread it in my desired locations upon my face, and created the story of a female who had been beaten by her boyfriend. Inspired by a book that I read of a thirteen year old girl dating an older man who abused her. (The book was written by a friend, and I asked the friend for permission to use the story as inspiration for my character. I painted the bruise-like colors on my cheeks and they stayed pretty well.  Here are a few photos of my results at that time.

In the end I liked the way it looked, and I'm going to try another photo with this sort of effect on it, except I'm going to try some posing and such with mine. Actually staging it, and all of that other interesting stuff. I think that I'm going to try and add the bruises to my next creation. :]

Lauren Denae as Mourning Children

One of my closest friends, Lauren Denae is 5'11" and is one of the prettiest girls in the world. I love the way her face shape is and how willing she is to let me destroy it with make up. One day we decided to just have some fun with whatever make up I had, (which was basically just some eyeshadow, and white face concealer for this look) and come up with something cool to do. So here are our results.

Lauren liked the over-all results and she definitely liked the photoshoot. Lauren has this want, every now and then, to be a model, so I use her for my portfolio and she uses me for her potential portfolio. Ha, well. I'll have more up for you later.

Introductions Necessary

Well, you all know me! Probably not well, but you will get to know me! I am an aspiring artist who is trying to make her own Apocalypse. I want to paint faces on people of demons, monsters, ghouls, and goblins, I want to make the unfortunately handsome women look gorgeous like a model, and I want to turn the models into hideous beasts. I fear that I may have quite the demented mind, but it is all fine with me. I just let the art flow through me, through the water facet of my every day. I want to be a special effects make-up artist / photographer. I hope to be wonderful at it, and here I will explain to you my ideas, and I will post the photos of my work as I get them completed. Do look forward to showing my work.

Love you all,
